Bethel School District’s Pierce County Skills Center will expand two of its current programs into an existing building located adjacent to the existing campus. The high school-level career training center will then offer more advanced opportunities to its students and keep them at the forefront of technological advances. The former warehouse dubbed the Evergreen Building follows in line with the Northwest nomenclature of the other campus structures.

The Construction Trades and Fire Science & Emergency Services programs will move from smaller spaces that were originally planned and designed for industries at the turn of the century. With today’s focus on digital services, 3-D printing, wireless & broadband communication, and tools designed with less reliance on fossil fuels, the Evergreen Building will not only be able to integrate these new technologies, but also have the flexibility to accommodate emerging learning environments in a post-pandemic world.
