EMA was honored to participate in Tacoma Art Museum’s 2018 Summer Camp, in partnership with AIA Southwest Washington!

We sent Kristin Ericson, Yifei Lou, and Senior Architect Wade Jensen to help elementary and middle school students learn how architects, artists, and designers think about the spaces and places in which we all live, work, and play.

Students were able to design and construct their own models inspired by TAM’s architecture and the buildings in downtown Tacoma, then use SketchUp software to turn their ideas into a digital model! We also helped students learn physical model making techniques and design solutions by building cardboard models.

We had a blast and the students did too!
