Clover Creek Elementary School

The new design for Clover Creek Elementary includes two classroom wings and a separate wing with performance/assembly areas. The third wing is able to accommodate community use after hours while safely restricting access to the rest of the facility.

Sustainability was a key element of the design. The new facility includes the careful placement of windows and other daylighting elements to reduce electrical usage, and the HVAC system is designed to run very efficiently by incorporating induction box heat recovery.

Additionally, the courtyard area is designed to be a teaching tool. Kids can access the rain garden via the raised boardwalk to see the water in action and to access the amphitheater-like outdoor classroom area. The courtyard also features the cupola – a historic artifact from the old school that celebrates the history of the site.
